Intention Vs. Craving
The words desire and want are very common to us. All of us have been using these words for what seems like forever now. People are used to saying "I desire this" or "I want this". By saying these words, a lot of energy starts moving around, getting people and situations ready for the fulfilment of the desire and want.
So saying "I desire this" or "I want this" is okay as it is the process by which creation happens and is the expression of the Self wanting to experience. Someone somewhere said "I want people to fly and travel at great speeds" and so the aeroplane was invented.
Here is where these words start getting complicated though. What happens if a desire remains unfulfilled for some time?
When a desire remains unfulfilled for some time, that person starts getting into a state of 'desire' or 'want' and when people remain in states of desire and want for extended periods of time, they start craving the object of desire, and the desire or want which started as a simple wish, grows to mammoth proportions and becomes an obsession. This is where feverishness enters the arena. At this point all creation forces stop as energy gets blocked and manifestation does not happen or slows down tremendously.
And once craving becomes part of a person's energy field, the Law of Attraction brings back more reasons to remain in a state of craving.
Why does this happen? Why do desires get blocked from fulfilment?
Desires get blocked from fulfilment when a person's 'Self-Worth' is tied to it. When we connect our self-worth to the object or subject of desire and try to fill up an empty space within us, a huge resistance starts building up, and very soon all energies get troubled, and it becomes difficult to sail smoothly in troubled waters.
This is where 'intentions' come in handy.
When we intend something, it comes out more as a command of creation, rather than a statement of lack. Intentions get the Mind to come from a place of power, and this power of creation goes out into the Universe and starts a process very akin to cooking. And what happens then is that the Universe starts cooking and comes out with a wonderfully tasting dish all ready to serve.
Intentions empower people. It gets the mind to focus on the present and to be 100% in the moment. You can easily imagine all your scattered mental energy coming together, focussing and creating.
Intentions carry a lot of purposefulness as a person who intends something into happening is most times focussed only on the pure desire than a feeling of a lack of self-worth which requires a fulfilment of that desire to feel okay (a short path to depression).
The Universe always recognises empowerment. So much better to intend and make things happen than to go into craving, right?
Let us help the Law of Attraction help us by coming from the space of conscious creation through the use of proper intentions. Disconnect your self-worth from your desires.
